Highly selective journal Advanced Photonics indexed in Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCIE)

Chinese Laser Press (CLP) is pleased to announce that Advanced Photonics is indexed in Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCIE).

Launched in 2019, Advanced Photonics is a highly selective open access journal publishing innovative research in all areas of optics and photonics. Co-published by CLP and SPIE, its rapid inclusion in the SCIE database is an indicator of the high-quality content published in the journal. Papers published in 2019 averaged 12 citations per paper. Inclusion in the index means that the journal can expect to receive its first impact factor in 2022.

"This is exciting news and a significant development for the journal," says Co-Editor-in-Chief Prof. Anatoly Zayats. "It shows that Advanced Photonics has already achieved impact on the optics and photonics community, and we hope it will continue to grow. We are thankful to our authors and readers for their trust in us, and the editorial board members, who keep the journal on the right course. We look forward to serving the photonics community in the years to come and continuing to publish new and exciting developments in the field."

"This is a good sign for our fledgling publication," Co-Editor-in-Chief Prof. Xiao-Cong (Larry) Yuan expresses his sincere thanks to everyone who supports Advanced Photonics: "We really appreciated our reviewers for the time and effort they have invested during the review process and made guard of the quality of the manuscripts. We are very grateful that the journal has advanced the science and application of light and light-based technologies jointly with our excellent authors, wide readers, committed editorial board members and strict reviewers."

General manager of Chinese Laser Press Ms. Lei Yang adds, "Advanced Photonics' early inclusion in SCIE is an important addition to the CLP journals portfolio. The recognition by the scholarly publication indexing service Web of Science marks another milestone of CLP global publishing service."

Advanced Photonics is Gold Open Access journal. The journal will be waiving all open access fees on submissions through 2021.
