Firstlythe definition of detectability was presentedwhich is a new physical quantifier used to describe the difficulty level for detecting a target.Analysis was given to the influence of target flight altitude and velocity on its detectability in infrared bandand the regularity of detectability changing was obtained based on a mount of simulating calculations. The analysis result shows that:1) Under normal weather conditionthe active detecting range will increase by 5 km for the same infrared detector when the speed of target improves by 0.5 Mach;2) The detectability of a target will increase with the increasing of its flying height when the height is under 8 kilometersdecrease with the height when it is beyond 10 kmand reach the max at the height of 8 to 10 km..

A novel adaptive integral sliding mode tracking controller is proposed for a morphing aircraft. The adaptive compensation algorithm is used to dispel the effect of parametric uncertainty on system stability. The perturbation can be projected into the matched and unmatched spaces. The additional integral term in the sliding surface reduces the steady state error and also provides one more degree of freedomwhich minimizes the Hinfinity norm of unmatched perturbation. It is shown that the stability of the closedloop system can be guaranteed with the proposed adaptive sliding mode control strategy. The feasibility of designed control scheme is demonstrated by a morphing aircraft model application..

Image segmentation is an essential step in image analysis.A novel model was proposed for unsupervised segmentation of viewers attention object from natural images by using salient object edge points and localizing regionbased active model (LRAC).The salient edge points were firstly detected by the color boosting Harris detector. The core saliency map was then proposed to obtain the foreground seeds from the salient edge points.Thenthe salient object edge points were determined by the foreground seeds.Finallythe salient object edge points were employed as the seeds of convex hull to generate the initial contour for our automatic object segmentation system.Extensive experiments results on a large variety of natural images prove that the proposed model can provide satisfactory segmentation performance..

When rate limiter is saturated in flight control systemtime delay would occur. The pilot induced oscillations (PIO) may come into being on condition that the pilot operates incorrectly.A simplified model of rate limiter was establishedand the switching suppresser designed by using logical conditions method was anatomized. The response properties of the openloop frequency and phase compensation ability of the suppresser were studied by using describing function. The openloop response properties of the suppresser to sine wave and bias input were discussed.A switching suppresser to prevent PIO was proposedand a mathematical model of closedloop aircraftpilot system with the derivative switching suppresser was set up.The step tracking tasks were simulated to study the performance the switching suppresser and DASA anticipatory control suppresser. The simulating results demonstrate that derivative switching suppresser effectively reduces the possibility of PIO..

Micromotion kinetics modeling is a key and fundamental issue of ballistic target microDoppler feature research. At presentthe modeling techniques based on Euler anglesEulerRodrigue formula and homogeneous coordinates have some problems such as “gimbal lock”singularity and computational complexity.Quaternion method can express arbitrary rotation in 3D space intuitively and overcome shortcomings of the existing methods by using 4 values instead of the 9 of the corresponding matrix. The quaternion based precession and wobbling microDoppler frequency expressions of ballistic targets are presented after derivation. It simplifies the calculation of target microDoppler in that reducing matrix operations. The simulation results prove that the quaternion based micromotion modeling method is valid and provides a scientific basis for microDoppler extraction and recognition of ballistic targets..
